Suboxone or Buprenorphine is an opioid medication used to treat pain and opioid addiction.
When used to treat opioid addiction, buprenorphine is combined with naloxone, usually as a pill that is absorbed under the tongue (sublingual). Because naloxone can cause withdrawal if it is injected, adding it to buprenorphine prevents people from misusing the drug.
Methadone is an opioid medication used to treat severe pain and opioid addiction. When used to treat severe pain, methadone is available as a tablet or oral solution. When used to treat opioid addiction, methadone usually comes in the form of a fruit-flavoured drink. The powder is dissolved and taken orally once a day.
Kadian is a long-acting, 24-hour formulation of oral morphine that was added as an alternative OAT option in B.C. in 2017 for opioid addiction, so it is a relatively new treatment approach that is most often used to treat severe opioid addiction. Kadian is a full opioid agonist that has been altered to act more slowly and to last longer in the body than regular morphine. Like methadone, it does no
Biphentin is the most prescribed medication for childhood ADHD worldwide. It has binding affinity for both the dopamine and norepinephrine transporter but not to the serotonin transporter. The functional effect is to block catecholamine re-uptake from and increase catecholamine release into the synapse. It has pharmacological effects similar to cocaine and amphetamine but may produce less neuroada
Adderal promotes the release of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Even though this compound has a high potential for abuse, maintenance programs using d-amphetamine have reported positive outcomes, such as decrease in amphetamine use and injecting. A double-blind, controlled clinical trial indicated that d-amphetamine may be effective for the treatment of cocaine dependence [69] and a small

At PharmadDocs we serve the cause that we deeply believe in. We are the forefront of community protection aiming to safeguard and recover our loved ones.
With the increasing number of deadly opioid overdoses and how close they might be to unaware individuals, we are equipped with everything necessary to keep you safe!
There is hope for those struggling with opioid addiction. Medications, known as opioid agonists, can be used to alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal and reduce the cravings for illicit opioids. The two most common medications used to treat Opioid Use Disorder are methadone and buprenorphine/naltrexone (Brand name Suboxone®). These medications are long-acting opioids and have unique properties that help stabilize patients physically allowing them to address the behavioral, mental and emotional components of addiction.
An opioid agonist therapy program may be the right choice to help you overcome your opioid addiction. The following goals can become realities:
1. Methadone Maintenance Treatment
Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) has been used for nearly 50 years to bring life back to those suffering from addiction to opioids such as heroin, oxycontin, hydromorphone, fentanyl, morphine, opium, etc.
Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) has been used for nearly 50 years to bring life back to those suffering from addiction to opioids such as heroin, oxycontin, hydromorphone, fentanyl, morphine, opium, etc.
2. Suboxone Maintenance Treatment
Suboxone maintenance treatment is a program that involves the long-term prescribing of Suboxone as an alternative to the opioid on which the client was dependent/addicted, such as heroin, oxycontin, etc.
Suboxone treatment provides an alternative to methadone maintenance treatment. Maintenance treatment has been shown to be far more effective than detoxification in the treatment of dependence/addiction to opioids such as heroin, oxycontin, hydromorphone, fentanyl, morphine, etc.
3. Morphine Maintenance Treatment
Opioid replacement treatment with slow-release morphine (Kadian) can be used in conjunction with methadone maintenance treatment or by itself, in certain circumstances. We can recognize and utilize it when this option can be used.
Slow-release oral morphine is widely used for pain, but there is growing evidence for its use in the long-term treatment of opioid dependence and addiction. To see if you qualify for this emerging mode of treatment and other details of the program, consult with your physician.
4. We screen patients for symptoms of testosterone deficiency, which can lead to sexual dysfunction and relationship problems.
Evidence shows that correcting low testosterone could cause improvements in sexual functioning. This can help patients affected by opioid-induced and/or age-related declines in testosterone.
5. Treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder
For our patients being treated for substance abuse, we offer diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit disorder.
Adult Attention Deficit Disorder happens more frequently among patients with substance abuse than the general population. Gone untreated, this condition can make substance abuse worse and cause problems in maintaining employment, relationships and working towards recovery. At our clinic, we recognize the importance of this co-occurring disorder.
6. Mental Health Medical Management
For our patients being treated for abuse of opioids, we offer mental health counseling, treatment and referrals.
About 50% of those with addiction have mental health disorders and about 50% of those with mental health disorders have addiction disorders. Discuss with your physician if you believe you suffer from mental health problems. Our physicians are experienced in managing mental health disorders that co-occur with addiction. You can be offered counseling, medication, and referrals.
7. Methadone to Suboxone Conversion
For those patients that wish to wish to switch from methadone to suboxone treatment, or vice versa, we provide this service.
The process of switching from methadone to suboxone programs is often requested by patients. We have great experience in this process and can help patients requesting this service.
8. Suboxone to Sublocade Conversion
For those patients that are already on Suboxone and want to get on a more convenient once a month treatment.
Sublocade is one medication available for treating opioid addiction. It is an injectable form of buprenorphine. The injection is subcutaneous, or under the skin. The medication gradually releases the drug for 28 days. This process effectively manages opioid withdrawal symptoms and reduces cravings over the long term.
Sublocade should be used as part of a complete treatment plan that includes counseling and other care services.
